Cupping Massage
Cupping is a therapy which uses glass, silicone or plastic cups that creates a negative pressure by placing the cups on the skin while mild suction draws the skin and tissues into the cups. This helps increase blood flow , relieve joint and muscle pain, accelerate recovery, reduce inflammation, increase lymphatic and circulatory systems, and improves range of motion from fascial restrictions. Cupping should not hurt however they may leave behind markings, not bruises. The colored markings differ depending on tissues response (healthy, stagnant from previous injuries, congestion, and toxins). Junior Massage Therapy (Recommended Ages: 5 and up)

This helps establish therapeutic touch, body awareness, and highlights conditions your child may be experiencing such as growing pains, hyperactivity disorders, anxiety/depression, cramping, muscular tension, circulatory and digestive problems. For parents that are bringing their child in for their first massage it is encouraged to stay during the scheduled treatment time as there will be a review of health history, communication regarding how the massage will commence, risks/benefits of massage therapy, having your child understand how to prepare themselves on the treatment table, know how draping/undraping is applied, allows space for your child to ask any questions as well as consent to have a massage therapy treatment performed by the therapist. Once your child is confident and comfortable with knowing and understanding the process of Junior Massage Therapy treatments, they are able to enjoy their appointments independently if they choose.
